An amazing Antique Noah’s Ark complete with all animals and Noah and family. This is a flat bottomed ark and is between 100 and 150 years old. This was made in the Erzgebirge region of Germany and is untouched and in amazing condition.
The ark would have been played with by children on Sundays as this was considered a suitable toy for the sabbath day and hand made by a family in this poor town surrounded by pine trees which they used to create their arks. Each ark was unique and they gave been shipped to children across the world.
We have mounted this on a resin base that looks like water and built up the mountains in plaster to allow the animals to ascend and descend from the ark.
It is really rare to find one so complete with all its animals.
